Decided that you are ready to re-create your space? Book an appointment with one of our designers through our website or give us a call at 0451 804 517. In this meeting, we will discuss what it is you are looking to achieve with your renovation. We will also do an initial measure and discuss basic materials and layout.
From your initial meeting, our designers will create an initial design and detailed quote. It will usually take one to three weeks from your initial meeting for the design and quote to be emailed through.
Thoughts can always change after seeing the initial design and quote. Discuss with your design consultant any changes you would like to see to the design and quote and feel free to ask as many questions as you would like. If you decide that you would like to go ahead, we ask that you send through the signed Project Acceptance Form. A small fee for the design process will also be charged at this point, to move onto the next stage.
Once you are happy with your design, your designer will send through a specifications list which will include everything we would need to know before we schedule your renovation. This specifications list includes things such as appliances and colours/finishes.
Once your specifications list is complete your designer will organise a time to meet with you and your project manager. This meeting is to double-check measurements, take notes in preparation for scheduling trades and discuss any other questions you might have. Often we will be able to start your renovation six to eight weeks after this meeting and finalising your specifications.
After your Project Manager meeting, your designer and project manager will create a detailed schedule for your renovation. This will be emailed alongside an invoice so materials can be ordered.
The day before we are due to start on-site your designer will organise a handover meeting with your Site Manager. This meeting is to introduce you to your Site Manager. In this meeting, he will be there to answer any on-site-related questions. Your designer will also discuss the renovation notes with your site manager to ensure a smooth transition to the on-site works.
Work on site begins! Your site manager will send you text message updates most days to keep you informed until your renovation is completed. They will also be available for any questions you have about what is happening on-site.
Our designers can provide the option to have a final meeting to discuss your experience and take a few photos of your completed renovation if you are happy for us to do so.
Every renovation is unique so the time it takes to complete a renovation can vary.
For most renovations, it will take your designer one to three weeks to provide a design and quote from an initial meeting.
Every person makes decisions at their own pace and ideas often change. Refining the design can take anywhere from a couple of days to several months.
The time it takes to confirm the items on the specifications list is different for everyone. Sometimes it can take a week, whereas sometimes it can take months.
In most cases, we can start work on site six to eight weeks from when the specifications list and project manager meeting are completed.
On average a kitchen renovation would take two to six weeks on site depending on benchtop, splashback and cabinetry choices and whether walls, plumbing and electrical services are moving.
Likewise, depending on material choices and services moving, an average laundry would take one to four weeks to be completed on-site.
A bathroom renovation would commonly take four to six weeks on-site depending on whether the plumbing and electrical services are moving.
